Tunis Sheep

Tunis Sheep, made from a design by Bev Galeskas for Fiber Trends, are hand knit using about 215 yards of hand-spun two-ply Tunis wool from sheep raised by Gary and Sandy Sojka of Middleburg, Pennsylvania.  The felting of the sheep was done in the washing machine.

The yarn used to embroider the faces is dyed black hand-spun yarn of New Zealand Romney wool.  The scarves are bits of handspun odd-lot yarn from the scrap basket. They are filled with all new polyester fiberfill.

The sheep definitely look better felted, stuffed, and dressed! This flock was completed in December 2008.
