In February of 2006, Forest House Fiberworks introduced the first of a continuing line of hand-spun, hand-knit sweaters, coats, toys, and blankets for discriminating dogs everywhere.  Some pieces even have matching accessories for that special person in a dog’s life.

This mini-sweater is great for Valentine’s Day, though it would be cute at Christmas, or any time you want to show your love.  The red yarn is handspun Romney wool from New Zealand, and the white trim is handspun New Zealand mohair.  The three buttons are unmatched (though similar sizes) antique mother-of-pearl.  The pattern is, appropriately, an eyelet heart-shaped lace from Vogue Knitting’s Stitchionary (Sixth & Spring Books, New York, 2005, p. 97)
