Classic Canines - Sparkle Tweed Jacket

In February of 2006, Forest House Fiberworks introduced the first of a continuing line of hand-spun, hand-knit sweaters, coats, toys, and blankets for discriminating dogs everywhere.  Some pieces even have matching accessories for that special person in a dog’s life.

This small jacket owes its bit of sparkle to a stainless steel strand in the commercial thread that was plied with the main strand of black wool and bits of colored silk.  The buttons are antique French (A P & Cie, Paris) brass with a floral motif.  The body, collar and cuffs are in seed stitch, while the button front is in plain stockinette.  A perfect outfit for an evening on the town.

Buttoned up, this charmer measures about 20 inches (20") around.  Imagine your Bichon Frise, Beagle, Dachshund or Fox Terrier all dressed up with somewhere to go!
