Rose Quartz Cardigan
A Forest House Fiberworks original, Rose Quartz is made from a Lambspun of Colorado blend of one third cashmere, one third silk, and one third wool. It is just as sumptuous to the touch as you would think. It features traveling stitches that move out from both center front and center back, and specialty buttons from Renaissance Buttons.com. It was started in hopes of being ready for a March 2002 conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It traveled to the conference in pieces, with the last not quite finished, safely packed in my luggage, since knitting on board planes is no longer permitted post-9/11 (I had to content myself with needlepoint and reading). While I was able to finish the knitting during evenings at the conference, I hadn't spun enough yarn to assemble the sweater or crochet the edging around the front and neck edges. This was done after my return, and the project was completed on April 8, 2002.
