Linen Stitch Afghan |
||||||||||
|
Like the Fruitbasket Afghan, this piece is an FHF Original and is made from the wool of Tunis sheep, a rare breed being conserved by breeders in Middleburg, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Linen stitch, also used in the Dragon Vest, makes a great "fabric" for a blanket--extra warm, and it holds its shape. There are approximately 120 hours of work in the spinning and knitting of this 3.5-lb. afghan. It is about 57 in. wide and 62.5 in. long, not including the fringe. It used about 1,925 yards of two-ply yarn. |
