| These scarves are relatively easy to make and can be knit in a variety of stitches, colors, fibers, and "densities", from extra fine to something like a small shawl to provide a little extra warmth in cool winter houses or offices. | ||||||||||||

| The airy, lacy scarf above was knitted in a wool /silk blend in the "Roman Stripe" lace pattern following instructions from Hunt Valley Cashmere. | ||||||||||||

| The fiber for the scarf to the left was a different wool/silk blend and was spun into a bulkier yarn, knitted on larger needles, and blocked differently. The same pattern was used for both scarves. Both were won as door prizes at different events by members of the Susquehanna Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women. | ||||||||||||
