Fruitbasket Afghan

This FHF original was commissioned in August 2001 and finished in early October 2001. Many hours of knitting were spent in front of the television watching the coverage of the tragic events of September 11. The afghan was made from the wool of Tunis sheep bred and raised by Gary and Sandy Sojka of Bend-in-the-Creek Farm, Middleburg, Pennsylvania, and now graces the front entryway of their lovely home. It was knitted in two halves and grafted together across the middle so that the fruitbaskets would mirror one another.
