Faroe Island-Style Shawl

Faroese shawls are wonderfully shaped to sit on the wearer's shoulders and drape gracefully front and back (notice the shoulder shaping in the back photo), leaving hands free to greet friends at the theatre. This shawl was spun from a wool and silk blend called "Black Platinum" from Lambspun of Colorado. The design is by Myrna A. I. Stahman, and comes from The Best of Knitter's Magazine Shawls and Scarves (XRX Books, 1999). It was also published in the Spring 1998 issue of Knitter's Magazine.
