Christmas stockings are fun to make because they go quickly and can be designed in many colors, stitches, and patterns. Those on the right were made for young nieces around 1995. The Aran stocking below, a Forest House Fiberworks original, was completed in December 2002 in Tunis wool (see Tunis pillows for source information). The medium blue and white and the dark blue and white stockings hid in my cedar chest unfinished for several years and were completed in the early fall of 2005. The bulky white stocking with red trim, another FHF original, was made in 2004 for my 91-year-old father-in-law.
