Charlotte's Shawlette |

2008 brought with it my 40th high school reunion, held in Westborough, Massachusetts in early September. For the cool evening, I brought with me the Swallowtail Shawl I made on a trip to New Zealand in the fall of 2006. One thing led to another, and a classmate asked me to make a shawlette for her sister. This was completed in November 2008. Shawlettes can give a little warmth to neck and shoulders, or be worn as just a decorative accessory. This little shoulder shawl is made of two-ply, hand-spun, natural color 100% alpaca yarn. It weighs a little over three ounces, and used approximately 175 yards of yarn. It is a modified version of the "Ridged Eyelet Shapely Shawlette" designed by Judy Pascale. |
