The “Burma Rings” sweater was designed by Barbara Venishnick, and published in the Best of Interweave Knits, edited by Ann Budd (Interweave Press, 2007, p. 112; also published in Interweave Knits magazine, Winter 2000). 

I made my version of it during the winter of 2007, using a plain dyed gray New Zealand Romney for the body.  The fiber for the colored yoke rings were pulled from a batch of “Black Tulip” dyed colorway from Chilko Fibres, Ashburton, New Zealand, also Romney wool.  The black rings are natural Peruvian alpaca.
