The Bear that Came to Dinner28 July 2008 6:30pm |

I had just sat down in the livingroom to watch the news, when violent shaking of the arborvitae at the end of the garage caught my eye through the north window. "Big wind", I thought, but quickly saw that no OTHER trees were moving. When I got up to investigate, I saw two black feet under the tall bush; said feet appearing to belong to a bear. Wayne and I watched through that window and kitchen windows thinking the bear would walk away north through the woods. But NO. This view (right) is looking east through the diningroom door window. |

| Next thing we knew, the visitor hadn't walked away, but had walked right up on the deck. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| OK. If you won't give me salmon, maybe hummingbird food will do. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
